Project success is no coincidence; instead, it is the result of putting the right skills and expertise to the right use at the right time.

The architecture firm Architekturbüro Rüdiger Franke was founded back in 1989 and offered services covering all aspects of classic architectural work. By the end of the 1990s, its main area of activity had increasingly shifted to focusing on contract and construction management, and it also added client representation and project management to its range of services. In this new role, the firm took on mandates both directly from clients and building owners and as a sub-contractor and partner of renowned architecture firms that tended to focus more on planning and design.

In March 2019, the company Franke & Thomsen Projekt- und Baumanagement emerged from the Architekturbüro Rüdiger Franke, with Matthias Thomsen as its second Managing Partner. Nowadays, we bring together the skills and abilities of architects, building services and civil engineers, management assistants and property management consultants and combine them with a wealth of experience in project management, planning and site management, transaction and asset management, sustainability consulting, project development and facility management.

Rüdiger Franke has been supervising and supporting construction projects for more than 35 years. Before establishing Franke & Thomsen, he mainly focused on awarding contracts and executing construction projects as the head of the architecture firm Architekturbüro Rüdiger Franke. As a result, he is well aware of the problems encountered during construction projects and more importantly, he knows the solutions needed to overcome them.

For Matthias Thomsen, design is not just about creating façades and floor plans but also handling and shaping contracts, budgets and project organisation. With more than 15 years of experience in the construction and property business, he always focuses on the perspectives of the building owner and investor.
