With the aim of developing both the infrastructure and tourism in Mozambique, plans were made to repurpose various mostly former military airfields for civilian use. Büro Franke provided the national airport company with consulting services on location decisions and the development of a space allocation plan and operational sequences in phase 0. Based on this advice, it then developed the structural concept for the prototype of a passenger terminal.
