The Gorch-Fock-Hochhaus, a high-rise building by the river Elbe, was constructed in the 1960s. Over time, the fabric of the exposed concrete slabs on the building façade has become weathered. As a result, the entire building envelope, namely the exposed concrete slabs, windows and balcony structures, needs to be fully renovated, followed by an architectural redesign of the property. Franke & Thomsen has been contracted to handle the project governance of the façade renovation work.
