This private library was planned to be constructed as a detached building on a plot surrounded by woodland in Hamburg’s Blankenese quarter. The extremely ambitious creative demands needed to be fulfilled with plenty of attention to detail. The building owner contracted Büro Franke directly to handle the contract and construction management (performance phases 6–8) and to make the building a reality in close cooperation with the planners from the architecture firm GMP Architekten.
